Bose Radar​

Radar was a mobile app that aggregated Bose AR Audio Augmented Reality experiences that were created with their AR Creator Tool. It was intended to provide users with a centralized hub to discover Bose AR experiences enhanced by Bose hardware. These could be 360° audio affected by where the user is looking, interactive content navigated via gestures, and even walking tours that trigger content when the user enters a specific region.

It was a fascinating project from a visual design perspective, as the experiences were audio based, with the visual interface serving only as a secondary aide.

A lot of education had to happen in the app. What gestures are available in that particular experience (tilt your head left, tilt your head right, double tap your frames, nod, etc.)? What happens if the user turns their head left? Right? Is the user’s movement even being registered? The interface had to account for all of these things and more.
